How to get repeat visitors to your website.

When people visit your website chances are very likely that most of them will leave within the first ten seconds, never to return again. The worst part about this is they leave without buying anything. They don't even take the time to leave you a name, number or email address, so you have no idea how to reach them again.

Getting people to come back to your website repeatedly.

Let's get started:

- Update the pages on your website frequently. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated.

- Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product.

- You can allow customers to 'opt in' to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to 'opt in' to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons.

- Add a link to your primary page with a script 'Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites'.

- Add a link 'Recommend this site to a Friend' so that the visitor can email your website link, with a pre-written title, "Thought you might be interested in this", just by clicking on it.

- Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a 'Contact Us' link on each page.

- Create a 'Our Policies' page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site.

- Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site.

- Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark.

- Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to 'opt out' of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products.

One more thing you can do is make your website more interactive. Make it interesting and fun for them to stick around. Let's take a look at MySpace as an example. Go to the main page and snoop around. Not only do they provide a place for people to meet and get to know each other, they have polls, classifieds, forums, videos and more. All designed to get you to stick around and come back again.

Now I'm not saying that you should try to compete with MySpace, but what you can do is take the time to design your web pages so that your visitors will want to click around for a while and get to know you. Give them something to do and a reason to come back. The longer you can keep their attention the more times you can get them to come back the better for you and your business!

See Every Single Visitor On Your Web Site

How to see every single person on your website, in real time and provide immediate customer service! Yes, it's true. You really CAN see every single person on your web site and provide instant customer service. You can see how long they spend on each page of your web site. You can see what browser they use. You can see how many pages they've viewed and how they got to your website in the first place.

It's an amazing tool. PLUS, it provides a service to your customers because they can email and/or chat with you or your customer service person -- live!

It's a KILLER and very important marketing tool Why?

Because, you can SEE visually every person on your web site and where they're coming from. You can tell if you're being ripped off on advertising or not by the time people spend on your web site and by whether or not they visit any other pages other than your initial one.

Once your ad goes out, you can literally see the traffic come in as your website fills up with visitors.

Plus, you can actually create a bond and answer sales questions by having instant chat available.

This is a MUST HAVE tool!

The service is called Live Person from:Live Person

It would really hurt to have to run my business without this tool. I highly recommend you download and use it right away.

Best wishes,
Marlon Sanders

Marketing a blog is more or less the same way that a website is marketed. Keywords and content are the main thing here. It can be you that writes the content, if you are so inclined, or pay someone to write for you. This part is entirely up to you. However, you want to be sure that the content is relevant, actually worth reading and that your target audience will want to read, if you want them returning. Social book-marking sites, like facebook and twitter, are an excellent way to get your presence known.

There are directories that you can pay to list your blog URL in their directory under the specific category that it applies to. However, many directories have special guidelines you must follow in order to be approved for inclusion, this is fairly straight forward, provided you don't try to have your blog included for a category it is not best suited to.

Another important thing to remember when you have a small business marketing blog, is that if someone leaves you a comment on the blog, you should respond, acknowledging their interest. You can also comment on other blogs that are relevant to yours, leaving a link to your blog at the same time.
